Dive Sites - Cave of Cerro Gordo

Our diving benefits from the Atlantic Stream which brings lots of plankton and other micro life forms to our waters. The result is a varied and abundant selection of marine life.

We have a great deal more marine life than most other mediterranean sites, and this includes some species which are unique to our coastline.

The marine life includes octopus, conger, moray, lobster, grouper, weaverfish moonfish, dasmil, wrasse, scorpion fish, salifish, swordfish, dolphin, silverfish, nudibranchis, flowers, faunas and corals.

  • An exhilerating dive planned in detail and for the more experienced divers

  • The entrance is through a narrow bottleneck at 15 metres

  • This leads into a huge cavern

  • Various tunnels lead from this cavern

  • We follow a tunnel some 80 to 100 metres through a thermocline and into fresh water of startling clarity

  • It opnes into a huge air pocket - tranquil cocoon - deep under a mass of rock where only whispers of air and drops of water can be heard

  • Dive duration approx 30 minutes, finish with one third air for reserve
