DIVE THE ROCK ! The waters around 'The Rock of Gibraltar' provide
so many opportunities for divers to train, gain experience or just
explore some of our dive sites that are teaming with marine life.
With the constant influx of fresh water from the Atlantic Ocean,
Gibraltar has some of the most varied marine life in the Mediterranean.
Known in Greek mythology as one of the "Pillars of
Hercules" Gibraltar is situated at the gateway to the
Mediterranean. The six kilometre long peninsular, which is
Europe’s second most southerly point, is connected to
Spain by a 1.5 kilometre isthmus of sand on which stands
the airport. |
